Join us and five amazing speakers to discuss the launch of the latest #coops4dev research report entitled: ‘Young people and cooperatives: A perfect match?’. Come and discuss the role of cooperatives in solving your challenges, as well as how cooperatives can better support and engage with young people.

The session presents the results of a collaborative research project on the theme of cooperatives and youth, developed by the ICA and its four regional offices under the ICA-EU Partnership for international cooperative development (#coops4dev ). Expertise and external support have been provided by the Co-operative College (UK) and valuable contributions made by members of the ICA Youth Network and its regional counterparts.

This report aims to determine how the cooperative movement can better support and engage with young people. The research aims to provide clear insights on the key challenges facing youth today, from the perspective of young people themselves. In addition, it focuses on how cooperatives can work to address these challenges. Based on 420 responses from young people in 20 countries, it provides a global snapshot of young people’s views and opinions from within and outside the cooperative movement.
