The Global Youth Forum was a truly remarkable experience. I met young people from all over the world who were determined to make a real difference and tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues. In my session we looked at how the media can help young entrepreneurs to tell their story. We examined best practices and shared tips for a successful media engagement strategy. Being a journalist, not a trainer, I gained confidence from delivering the workshop, especially after receiving exclusively positive feedback from participants. When I wasn’t delivering my session I attended other trainers’ sessions, gaining new skills and knowledge in the process. I left Kuching feeling empowered and inspired, thinking that young people can indeed make this world a better place.
